At the same time, it revs with the the eagerness of a sports bike and there's no need to change up until the rev counter is past 10,000rpm. And, anyway, you quickly forget about the furnishings once you’re on the move.Ĭars with small engines and big turbochargers usually feel lethargic at low revs, but the C-X75 punches like a heavyweight as soon as you put your foot down, thanks to its supercharger and the instant torque from its electric motors. But it still represents a significant upgrade on the plasticky, slab-sided dashboard found in Jaguar's last mid-engined supercar, the XJ220. More disappointing, given that the C-X75 was expected to cost almost £1 million, is the fact its interior closely resembles that of the F-type sports car, which starts at a little over £50k. Indeed, having his build is probably a good thing, because the doors are quite heavy to pull shut. But once you’ve folded yourself underneath, you find there's plenty of space, even if you’re built like Dave Bautista, the former professional wrestler who plays Hinx in SPECTRE. To get into the C-X75 you lift rather than pull the door.
